Visit of the Engineering Sector Committee for the 15th Session (2026) to the Institute The Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology in Egypt welcomed the Engineering Sector Committee for the 15th session (2026). The committee was headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Ghandour from the Faculty of Engineering at Port Said University, and included the following members: - Professor Dr. Heba Abdel-Aaty (Port Said University) - Professor Dr. Mai Wahba (Tanta University) - Professor Dr. Reham Mohsen (Mansoura University) - Professor Dr. Howaida Abdel-Hamid (Port Said University). The committee was received by Professor Dr. Sally El-Ghamrawy, Dean of the Institute; Professor Dr. Bushra Abdel-Mo'men, Academic Advisor; Professor Dr. Hanaa El-Abbasy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; along with the heads of the academic departments, Mr. Ayman Abbas, Secretary General, and Mr. Fathy Talba, Secretary of the Institute. The Dean began by giving a presentation outlining the Institute's development and the efforts of all departments during the past year across six evaluation criteria. The visit included a tour of the laboratories, classrooms, lecture halls, control rooms, academic units, and the IT unit, as well as direct meetings with students, faculty members, teaching assistants, community stakeholders, and alumni. Documents were also reviewed. At the conclusion of the visit, the committee expressed its profound admiration for the remarkable progress, reflecting the significant effort and dedication of everyone involved. The visit also highlighted the strong sense of belonging among all members of the institute, demonstrating a true team spirit.
